I completely forgot that Leo and Marcus had multiple classes before he befriended the Davenports. Leo was obviously wary of Marcus around his siblings (even before he revealed to him that he was "bionic") but I think that played into Leo being suspicious of Marcus at first because he was questioning why his classmate was suddenly so interested in his siblings

i don't feel like really coloring this rn so here are some rough sketches of my older tealmask designs! kieran is a mask maker & competitive battler while florian is paldea's new pokémon professor, (he specializes in pokémon mythology & terastallization.)

am i turning my life around or am i just having a manic episode
#internship mentor for this summer asked if id be interested in a longer-term project with their lab continuing into my senior year#i got really excited and asked if i could do a thesis (which id given up on bc im not in a lab at my school) and that is an option#and now ive asked my fav prof to be my on-campus advisor and we're gonna have a zoom meeting and ill sign up for indepedent study credits#and ive mostly picked my classes for the coming semester and im SO EXCITED. maybe TOO excited#like yes im passionate about my field and my work but ive had a total mood shift. mayhaps my awful therapist was right abt the bipolar#been doing sooo many tasks lately. reaching out to ppl i hadnt spoken to in a while. not sleeping much#ugh. when everything goes right for me i get suspicious

bioware trying to throw me off my mission by being like "ooo look Emmrich is a botanist!! how relatable! think about him and his love of plants!" oh yeah then why isnt HE going crazy in Arlathan ID'ing the tree species the way I am. why hasn't he said anything about how the leaf litter on the ground is chok full of oak leaves but there's NOWHERE an oak tree to be found??? it's all apsen and pine and that one special one davrin points out (marpel). where are the oaks. As a chronically ill person, I don't trust nor do I like doctors and medical professionals as a whole and if that makes me an unreasonable asshole then so be it.

entomology is a huuuuge interest of mine and actually what im going to uni for!!! so ive worked in two different entomology labs (both being more focused on agricultural entomology) and ive met a handful of people who work in that field :D
it influences a little bit of how i see queenie HAHA so far anyone ive met who works in entomology is very strange in different ways, and i dont see her as having been an entomologist prior to entering the circus (maybe in the past at most? but some way or another she ended up working at c&a...) BUT i like to incorporate that into how i see her!!! its very fun :D
im not an entomologist myself by any means but i have a little bit of experience with that field should that insight be needed for queenie purposes!!!!
#ask#just last night i was talking to friends about the sheer horror that is sweepnetting miles of soybean fields for stink bugs#while horseflies are pestering u and also the soybeans r up to ur chest LOL#and briefly mentioned on my main that i had to use a microscope to count literal thousands of spider mites while i had a full on migraine#im going back to that lab soon :) i was very sad to leave it last fall when i left to live oncampus#the second lab had less going on all the time but thats also cus i was helping out grad students w the like repetitive stuff#so they could go work on the actually indepth parts#so it was mostly me looking at hundreds of flies to figure out if they were one of two extremely closely related species#only really differentiated by a slight size difference and that one had bigger femurs#or sifting thru stuff to collect beetles for hours and hours. or cleaning stuff#all this is a long winded way of saying YES i do!!!!#a lot of entomology is counting HAHA i had to count things a lot#my best friend clicker counters....#my supervisor once told me the way to identify a good clicker counter is if you could physically harm someone if u hit them with it#caps

#Gravity Falls#Ford's Journals are soooooo fucking unscientific it's funny#bro really thought drawings and thoughts were enough for a field journal#HE DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE ANY SCALES IN HIS DRAWINGS#meanwhile my food diary is listing every meal and snack for each day#along with specific ingredients within each meal and snack that may cause me distress#all my symptoms rated on a scale from mild to severe#and also whether the symptoms occurred immediately or were delayed#and anything that may affect the results of the day (such as a temporary medication) noted at the end#I am a SCIENTIST I have done so many different lab books and field journals I'm gonna be THOROUGH about this shit#speecher speaks
